OMNITEC's Rent&Pass solution receives an award in the ICT solutions for tourism contest
Once again, COITTCAN organised the ICT solutions for tourism competition. This year, the contest could not be held during the Digital Tourism Congress because of its cancellation. COITTCAN opted to hold the awards ceremony during the 11th ICT day.
On this occasion, OMNITEC obtained the Second Prize for its RENT&PASS solution for holiday homes and tourist apartments.
OMNITEC Rent&Pass allows users of its security systems to install electronic locks and access controls in the doors of apartments. These are opened using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, available on all mobile phones, and by numerical code.
Tourist apartment owners and managers with these electronic locks can send virtual Bluetooth keys and/or numerical codes to guests before their visit; thus avoiding physically handing over keys, with all the contact that this entails.
Thus, using the Rent&Pass management system and devices, the safety of guests is guaranteed by letting them keep their distance, which is so necessary at this time.
The Rent&Pass system can also be used by holiday apartment owners to send keys to cleaning companies, make master cards for all their apartments, open doors remotely and have a record of all the times someone opens any of the doors they manage.
These systems are available for main building doors, garages and apartment doors.
